When we landscaped the property to sell, we planted hibiscus in the front yard along the house. They have made it through the last 4 years without to many problems. However, they did not survive the hard freeze in February. We replaced them with Pineapple Guava. The flowers and fruit are edible. Looking forward to the addition later on down the road.

I've never heard of such kind of fruit. I love guavas, but in my country I can't find guavas like those. Tq for sharing.
evy - I also had not heard of this type of guava. Apparently there is also a strawberry guava that is very rare and very tasty.

I had not heard of this type fruit before, so I googled it. The flowers look interesting and pretty and the fruit will have a minty-pineapple flavor; From what I read, Chris, the fruit you planted sounds great and very delicious!
The flowers are supposed to taste better than the fruit.
